I had the privilege of photographing my sister yesterday who is graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Organic Chemistry. This girl is one of most determined and ambitious people I have ever met. She skipped 8th grade and then her junior and senior year in high school and enrolled into a program for *smart* high school students at a local college. After finishing that program, she applied and was accepted at Cal Poly Pomona. It's so exciting seeing her grow throughout these years. I couldn't be more proud of her!

I've always loved the look of film. I grew up with a father who photographed my siblings and I in film (because digital wasn't around back then). Several years ago I found his old Canon film camera but unfortunately the mirror inside the camera was broken. It would have been cheaper just to buy a new camera.. haha. Well, I've been wanting a film camera for some time and recently Ovi suprised me with me (boy, was I happy!!). He also bought me some expensive professional film but being my first time shooting film I decided to buy some inexpensive film to practice with. So excited to go out and shoot some more :)

P.S. I'll be honest and say I had no idea what I was doing.. The camera did not come with a manual.. I just went with it and hoped the images came out!

P.P.S. I kept looking at the back of my camera.. lol :)

It's been awhile since I've updated this blog. Things over at Le Magnifique are really taking off (we've already scheduled posts into August). Can you believe that? I can't! Anyway, I want to try posting more in here because I miss sharing the photos I've taken!

Last week, my sister, Valentina, and Candice, hung out at The Huntington Library (one of my favorite places. ever). It was tons of fun being with these girls. Valentina brought her film camera (on my list of things to get). Check out those photos here (you can see some of me). The photos on here of me were taken by my sister. I rarely have my photos taken so it was fun being in front of the camera (even though I am the most awkward person to photograph). Can't wait for my next visit!

On Saturday, March 10, 2012, I had the privilege of photographing Jessica & Marius' wedding. Their ceremony was full of love and beautiful songs and their reception just lovely. After the reception, we headed out to Laguna Beach to finish off the day with some fun photos. We had so much fun! It's great when a couple have such an awesome bridal party. This entire group just made the day so much better :)

Jessica and Marius, thank you so much for the opportunity to document this important day in both of your lives. It was beautiful to watch you two tie the knot and I can't say enough how happy I am for the both of you. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! Have fun on your honeymoon!!
