Styled shoots are so much fun for me. It gives me an opportunity to photograph something I wouldn't typically shoot and in the process, I get to meet some of the most wonderful people in the industry. So when Los Angeles wedding planner, Vanessa of Vanessa Michelle Co. reached out to me several months ago, I knew that we just had to do a shoot together. The opportunity arose and I just jumped on it. We photographed the shoot at the stunning Pasadena Museum of History which would make the most amazing backdrop for a Pasadena Wedding (which by the way, if you're having a wedding here, please contact me). My sweet and wonderful friend, Vanessa of Vanessa Michelle Co., referred Rosa & Eric to me. They were such a joy to work with -- I can only imagine how much fun we'll be having on their wedding day! Rosa & Eric wanted a farm/ranch setting for their engagement session so we headed out to the beautiful Two Sisters Farm in Temecula. It was my first time shooting in a setting like this and also first time shooting in Temecula so I was extra excited! We had a blast together and I'm looking forward to seeing these two again in April!

Oh my goodness... I've become that person who neglects their blog! I used to be really good at updating my photography blog, but.... that was before the twins and before I started Southern California Bride. I need to get back in the habit of blogging consistently even if it's just once a week -- I need to be consistent about it.

I've reached a point where I feel like I'm I don't know which direction to look anymore. So much to do and deal with -- and -- not wanting to disappoint anyone. Trying to do it all and royally failing at it. But I'm constantly picking myself up because I don't have the time to sit in the dust. So I have changes to make in my life -- changes to create a balance -- to prioritize the important stuff and to stop stressing about things that don't even matter. To create a system that works for me. I don't know what that is going to look like but I'm sure eventually I will find some sort of balance -- whether that means blogging for SCB only on specific days during the week, exercising on certain days, etc... I need to find a balance. Or else I will end up going crazy!

I was so excited when Jane reach out to me to photograph her 2016 Sacramento wedding because she was one of my sister-in-law's bridesmaids earlier this year! I just love it when bridesmaids from past weddings I photographed want me to document their wedding day as well!

For their engagement session, they wanted to go out to Big Bear. I was thrilled for this because I've been wanting to photograph a Big Bear engagement session. We had so much fun and they make me even more excited for their wedding day! Hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do!

This shoot was a special one for me. I had taken a long break from photography after finding out I was pregnant with twins back in 2012. During my time off, I didn't shoot anything so when I ended up deciding that I wanted to get back into wedding photography, I knew it was going to be quite a journey as I didn't have anything recent or up to date with my current style in my portfolio. I wanted to create a shoot that was reflective of the style of weddings I wanted to photograph -- classic, elegant, and romantic -- so I teamed up with Amy of All In The Detail design who helped me plan this shoot. We were very fortunate to be able to shoot at the stunning Rancho Las Lomas in Orange County which hosts some of the most beautiful weddings in the OC. Together with Amy, we were able to put together an amazingly talented team of weddings professionals who helped bring my vision to life! I wanted to go with a soft color palette that included the colors white/ivory, green, and hints of peach. I also wanted touches of gold with lots of candles. All in all, this shoot turned out just beautifully and I'm so proud of my entire team! Now if only I could shoot a real wedding at Rancho Las Lomas -- I would die!
